One to one studio days

I offer one to one tutorial days at my studio in Marsden, West Yorkshire.

A personalised one to one studio day can be particularly helpful if you would like to begin your natural dye journey, but are unsure where to start or if you have a specific project in mind that you'd like some guidance on.

My style of working leans more closely towards art practice than scientific so I like to structure studio days in a way which will help your inner artist shine. We can cover anything from core techniques like preparing fabrics and creating dye baths, all the way through to creating layered scarves and artworks using a range of processes from painting, scattering, eco-printing and modifying dyes.

The studio is based in a rural location along the canal with plenty of opportunity for foraging walks as well as excellent refreshments including local coffee from our neighbours, Darkwoods Coffee which is available alongside local beers and food pop ups at our other lovely neighbours, Zapato Brewing. There is free parking available on-site or you can catch a train. The studio is situated in-between Marsden and Slaithwaite train stations with a 35 minute walk along the canal from either side.
